Call for Candidates

We're searching for candidates to nominate for our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.

DCU is searching for Leaders to join its Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee

We are looking for talented leaders with diverse backgrounds to serve DCU’s members and drive our credit union’s mission of helping “all members achieve their financial goals collaboratively.”

As a Board, we are committed to increasing the value we offer our members.

Do you have the skills to make a difference to our members through membership on our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee?

We are seeking unique individuals who:

  • Commit to total integrity and complete transparency in credit union matters.
  • Always act as a representative of the membership.
  • Display contagious optimism for future possibilities.
  • Collaboratively offer visionary ideas.
  • Actively engage in committee work, including leadership roles as appropriate.
  • Cultivate strong business and financial skills.
  • Understand how to integrate the voice of members into strategic planning.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences.

DCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by and operated for our members. Since our founding in 1979, we have grown to serve more than 1,100,000 members, families, companies, and organizations in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

DCU is ranked No.19 in the nation with over $12 billion in assets.

Our volunteer-led, unpaid Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee help develop DCU’s strategic direction and devise ways to help deliver our promise.

Last year, we established a 12-year term limit for all volunteer Board and Supervisory Committee members. These limits ensure we are continuously refreshing our Board’s perspectives as technology and the financial services industry accelerate evolution. This practice puts us in the innovative minority of 18% of credit unions who have enacted term limits, according to “The State of Credit Union Governance 2023” report from Quantum Governance, L3; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Credit Union Executives Society (CUES).

For time commitments required of each position, please see the overviews below.
