Make a Difference
We held our first company-wide Day of Service in 2024. Employees across DCU participated, dedicating their time to supporting non-profit organizations across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Georgia, and Florida. We collected and packed food for local food banks, put together hygiene kits for people experiencing homelessness, wrote letters to veterans, donated blood, and more – all to benefit our local communities.
DCU has a vision that we strive to live up to every day. Our vision of "All members achieve their financial goals collaboratively" means that we want to be the catalyst and the cheerleader for our members’ long-term financial success.
By providing educational tools and resources, DCU is committed to empowering our members to become financially savvy. Check out our Financial Education Center to read about fraud prevention, savings tips, and more.
DCU for Kids is our 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation, which has donated almost $30 million to support education initiatives, enrichment programs, medical research, support services, and student scholarships. Through DCU for Kids, we’ve worked closely with local Boys & Girls Clubs, and organizations like Rise Above, a non-profit that provides assistance to children in foster care.
At DCU we’re committed to putting people first, doing the right thing, and making a difference. For a full picture of DCU’s initiatives, please check out our Community Report.
DCU has partnered with E.L. Harvey & Sons to offer FREE personal paper shredding. We also pair these shred events with donation drives, collecting items like diapers, school supplies, and non-perishable food items to donate to local families, shelters, and organizations. Come to a participating branch with your sensitive documents during one of our Shred Events, and we’ll take care of the rest. No sign up necessary.
We are proud of the work that our employees do for the communities in which we operate. During 2024, we participated in volunteer activities benefiting over 150 non-profit organizations. We teamed up to pack meals for food pantries across Massachusetts, build beds for children in homeless shelters, and provided gifts to children in need around the holidays. Check out this video highlighting our efforts and teammates in action! These activities engaged our communities in MA, NH, FL, & GA.
